Why use a filthy toilet brush when you can just use a jet of water? It's better for the environment too!
Raise money for sanitation and bowel conditions
Helping related causes
Gut conditions
An alternative to the toilet brush that makes toilet cleaning less disgusting and helps the environment is a good cause in its own right. However, buying your shiffter will also help sanitation projects and people with gut issues. Filthy brushes and dirty toilet bowls aren’t exactly topics we rush to discuss. Similarly, stomach and bowel related illnesses are sensitive issues. Colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohns disease, chronic constipation and bowel cancer are topics that people are uncomfortable talking about, yet we probably all know someone whose lifestyle has been seriously affected by such conditions.
Sanitation projects
We also use trillions of litres of drinking quality water to flush our toilets, while in many developing countries people don’t even have access to clean water. That just isn’t right. We’re keen to support clean water and sanitation projects in developing countries.
Profits to help
When you buy your shiffter, a big chunk of the money we make will be donated to research, charities, nursing, care and sanitation initiatives. There are over 365 million households in the US and Europe alone and around a billion worldwide, so there’s potential to raise huge sums. On top of that, many of them have more than one bathroom and we’re also going to sell to hotels and businesses.
Put simply we’re hoping that it will be around 20% – hopefully more – of what we make after we take out the running costs such as making your shiffter, selling costs, wages, packaging and distribution – otherwise we wouldn’t be able to run the business…and we’ll make sure that no accounting trickery is used to reduce how much we donate. There’s no small print, it might take a year or two to get there but that’s the plan – and that’s a promise!
If all goes well, we’re hoping to raise many hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of pounds for good causes. If you like listening to podcasts, you can find out more about our charitable aims below, or click here to find links to the podcast on other platforms.
